Impact
Between 11:23 AM and 2:15 PM PDT, we experienced increased errors when attempting to sign-in to the AWS Management Console using IAM Identity Center in the AP-SOUTHEAST-2 Region. Engineers were automatically engaged at 11:28 AM and immediately began investigating the root cause. At 12:09 PM, we identified the root cause as a recent change to an underlying subsystem in the sign-in path and immediately began rolling this change back. By 2:15 PM, we had mitigated the underlying root cause and continued to monitor for full recovery. We recommend customers hard refresh the sign-in page before retrying authentication attempts if they continue to experience an error. We do not expect this issue to reoccur. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
